For the past week, a friend has been helping us work with the backup database for FoG. Now we have it all back and hosted on a different server. We really just wanted to make sure that we could get to all of the posts and comments as soon as possible.
MANY thanks to my friend Tom Wilk. He doesn’t know Geraldine very well, but when he heard what happened, he jumped in the thick of things to get the database restored.
As you can see, the pictures are gone and the formatting looks a bit funky in places, but we do have all of the raw data back. With some cleanup and design elements back in place, we’ll be good to go in no time.

Great job getting the site back up and running. And while we’re at it… thanks for creating this site in the first place! I know it has meant a lot to Geraldine and all of her friends and family; it’s meant a lot to me personally because I’m too far to keep tabs on Geraldine myself, and I know how much trouble she can get into.
Side note, if the f@#*er that screwed with the site is reading this: I hope you get a really bad crab infestation.

Thanks to everyone who got this site back up. I know it must have been a lot of work and that just shows how much Geraldine is loved. I’m too very far away and this makes me feel connected.

It means a lot to those who care about Geraldine but maybe cannot communicate directly or easily.
Although I would like to comment on the destructive party with the cold black heart who destroyed the site, I will refrain. After all, we are reminded that this site is about Geraldine’s journey and the community that cares for her.
