Geraldine and her daughter Viviane - Easter 2008

Geraldine has been battling Hodgkin’s Lymphoma for over a year, and her insurance isn’t enough to cover everything.  As a result, those medical bills have been stacking up.

This site was started by her friends Nick, Malcom, and Pete.  The intent is to keep people informed of her condition and also to help raise funds for these increasing costs.

That said, taking donations is not the most important function of FriendsofGeraldine.org. We’ve set out on a mission here to chronicle every piece of the story of Geraldine’s battle, particularly her experiences in the bone marrow transplant process. Why? We feel that it is important to record this for others that may be experiencing the same.

On top of this, Geraldine requested of her friends that run and maintain this site to make sure that there is a written history of the entire experience.

Geraldine posts as much as she can, and when she can’t, one of her friends takes over.

If you can’t donate, that’s really not a big deal. Your words of encouragement are just as important for her recovery. Please post them whenever you can by commenting on any blog entry.

NOTE: This is a copy of the “About” page before the site was attacked.  We don’t have donation tools up and running at the moment.

If you’re looking for a good starting place, try this post.
